OUR VISION

The role of the artist is to make the revolution irresistible.
— Toni Cade Bambara

Rooted in the belief that culture can be a powerful force for ecological renewal and spiritual connection, Little Indian Girl Collective is a women and Indigenous-led storytelling initiative with a mission to foster a sacred relationship with life through storytelling, ecology, and ancestral memory.

Through films, docuseries, music, and podcasts our stories honor Indigenous wisdom and the interconnectedness of language, land, and spirit. Our Women and Water series spotlights Indigenous women like Nemonte Nenquimo protecting sacred natural resources across the globe. Our Mother Tongue series explores the vital link between language and the environment, showing how the erosion of Indigenous languages is intimately tied to the loss of ecosystems and ancestral knowledge.

From North America to India, our stories center environmental regeneration, cultural remembrance, and reconnection to land. In Promises of Our Grandmothers, we follow the fight against Line 3, elevating voices like Tara Houska’s and illuminating the spiritual and intergenerational legacy of land defense.

Our goal isn’t only to create, it’s to enact social change and be a voice that weaves cultural stories into pop culture that enters the mainstream. We are looking to build systems to not only shift the conversation but the way the conversation is created and who is creating it.
